Senior Frontend Engineer, Core
A Senior Frontend Engineer, Core, is a highly skilled and experienced developer who focuses on building high-performance, scalable, and visually appealing web applications. This role requires technical expertise, a deep understanding of user interfaces, and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative and seamless user experiences. You will be responsible for shaping the core of our frontend architecture and ensuring that our web applications are both user-friendly and highly functional.
Tasks:
- Lead frontend development: Take ownership of key features and applications, ensuring they are designed and built to the highest standards.
- Build scalable frontend architecture: Develop robust, maintainable, and scalable code using modern JavaScript frameworks like React, Vue.js, or Angular.
- Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define technical requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Ensure performance optimization: Continuously monitor and improve the performance of web applications, optimizing load times and ensuring responsiveness across devices.
- Code quality: Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code. Implement best practices to ensure maintainable and scalable codebases.
- Mentorship: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, guiding them through complex tasks and helping them grow their skills.
- Technical innovation: Stay up to date with the latest frontend technologies and industry trends, integrating new tools and frameworks where appropriate.
- Collaborate on user experience: Work alongside designers and product teams to ensure a seamless and intuitive user experience across all platforms.
- Lead brainstorming sessions: Contribute to ideation and problem-solving sessions, offering technical expertise to solve product challenges.
- Conduct code reviews: Review code written by peers and junior developers, ensuring code quality and consistency across the team.
- Develop and maintain frontend systems: Lead the development of internal frontend frameworks, libraries, and systems that improve efficiency across teams.
- Optimize for cross-browser compatibility: Ensure that applications work seamlessly across different browsers and devices.
- Ensure security best practices: Follow security best practices and ensure the application is secure from potential vulnerabilities.
Requirements:
- Educational background: A degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in frontend development, with a strong portfolio of web applications.
- Technical expertise: Proficient in modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue.js, Angular) and related technologies (HTML5, CSS3, ES6+).
- Performance optimization: Experience with performance optimization techniques, such as lazy loading, code splitting, and caching strategies.
- UI/UX understanding: Strong understanding of user interface design principles and the ability to implement pixel-perfect designs.
- Version control: Proficiency in Git, GitHub, or other version control systems.
- Collaboration skills: Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams.
- Mentorship ability: Proven ability to mentor junior engineers and help them grow technically.
- Design systems: Familiarity with or experience in creating and maintaining design systems and component libraries.
- Problem-solving skills: Ability to break down complex technical challenges into manageable tasks and deliver solutions on time.
- Mobile-first mindset: Experience in building responsive applications that work seamlessly across all devices, including mobile.
- Advanced tooling: Proficiency in development tools such as Webpack, Babel, and other build tools. Knowledge of testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, Cypress).
- Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas and solutions clearly to stakeholders.
